Fixed Term Trust Grade (ST3+ Level) Registrar in Respiratory Medicine
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Respiratory Team at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to contribute to the development of the Respiratory service.
This is a fixed term contract to cover a rota gap until August 2026. Please note due to this being a short term contract we do require doctors to have rights to work in the UK as we cannot sponsor for less than 12 months.

The post holder will work at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, with responsibilities for patients on the respiratory wards with direct consultant supervision.

Job responsibilities
The appointee will manage patients that are resident on a respiratory ward and would be responsible for patients with respiratory and general medical problems. They will be expected to supervise the F1/2/IMT managing the patients on the respiratory wards. The post-holder would undertake pleural procedures on the respiratory ward and see respiratory referrals on other medical and surgical wards. In addition the post holder would be expected to attend respiratory out-patients clinic on a regular basis. They would see new and follow-up patients in clinic and discuss with the consultant in charge of clinic. There will also be the opportunity to learn to Bronchoscope and Thoracoscope.
The Post holder is expected to work a standard 40 hour week, with ward work daily in office hours and some evening/weekend shifts on the Medical Emergency Admissions Unit on the medical rota as a medical registrar.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
* Part 1 & Part 2 MRCP in Medicine
* ALS
* Full MRCP in Medicine
Special Knowledge / Abilities and/or Experience
* Are you currently working at Registrar level i.e. able to lead the department as a senior decision-maker
* Are you Clinical Training and experience equivalent to that of an ST3+ doctor
* Do you have rights to work in the UK
* Interest in General/Acute Medicine and it's sub-specialities
Teaching
* Some experience of teaching undergraduate medical and nursing students
* Evidence of educational development
* Experience in teaching/training of medical or other healthcare staff
