Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for an EHS Manager within the Quality Team. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.
This Inspector position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. Under direction from the Head of Quality, they will ensure Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services is compliant with EHS and standards ISO14001 and 45001 and other required regulation Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH).
Implement and maintain standards ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems)
and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) standards, within the Lufthansa Technik Group
approval using the Lufthansa Technik integrated Management System Pro X.
~ Develop & perform internal audit schedule of the EHS management system to assess conformity with
Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Environment Agency -
Provide guidance and support to business as Subject Matter Experts on EHS subject, including risk
assessment, training and project consultation.
Ensure the Integrated Management System is procedures for EHS are monitored and maintained.
Act as the contact point with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders during
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) related to EHS performance, to match the requirements of the business.
Participate in the Lufthansa Technik EHS community, including attending EHS Summits and working groups to develop group procedures and global EHS objectives and initiatives.
Be the conduit for Lufthansa Technik EHS leadership to Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services management.
NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent preferred.
Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems in a complex, regulated environment, preferably within the aviation MRO industry.
Knowledge of COMAH regulations and experience in developing and implementing safety management systems for sites handling hazardous substances and processes, including preparation of safety reports and liaison with Competent Authorities.
Extensive project management skillset and the ability to stick to strict timelines and budgets
