Salary: £24,000 – 27,000 FTE (pro rata for part time hours)

Home-Start Hampshire exists to support families with children aged 0-11 years who, for a myriad of reasons are finding life challenging.
Through our network of trained volunteers, we work with families one-to-one and in small group settings to provide tailored emotional and practical support when they need it most.

Your Role
The Project Coordinator is responsible for delivering our group programmes and managing a team of trained volunteers to deliver one-to-one home-based support for families.
Working with families across Gosport, Fareham, and the Meon Valley, you will aim to achieve the best outcomes for families and support the volunteers who so generously give us their time and make our service possible.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and motivation, to help grow our volunteer network, to support families on their journey of change and raise awareness of Home-Start Hampshire within the communities we operate.
Duties will include:
* Initial contact with and assessment of families following referral (or self-referral) prior to matching with a volunteer or the family joining a group programme.
* Supporting the recruitment and supervision of volunteers who are matched with families and supporting at groups.
* Supporting the running, delivery, and development of family support groups.
* Maintaining and growing relationships with external partners and stakeholders within the local community.
* Supporting the preparation of impact reports through observations, quotes and case studies.
* Being nominated designated safeguarding person for the area.
* To become involved in other ad hoc tasks as required.
About you
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience of delivering family support one-to-one and in group settings.
* Experience of dealing with and managing safeguarding issues.
* Passionate and enthusiastic, able to work with others at every level to achieve a shared goal.
* IT literate with confidence and willingness to learn new skills.
* Full driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
* Experience of working for a charity / within the charity sector.
* Experience in volunteer management, including recruitment and supervision, with the opportunity to get involved with training volunteers too.
* Parenting experience, or substantial understanding gained through an equivalent caring role.
* Awareness of fundraising and experience supporting fundraising activities, including events.
Home-Start Hampshire operates a flexible working policy. The role will require periods of working from home and in the community, as well as travel in and around Gosport, Fareham and the Meon Valley. Some weekend and evening work may be required to attend events.
Satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check will be required.
