Buyer – Direct Materials

A growing manufacturing company in Kent are currently looking to recruit a new Buyer to their small team.
Your role will include:
* Taking responsibility for ensuring the timely and cost effective procurement of components and raw materials.
* Support the wider supply chain team to maintain material availability, support production schedules and drive supplier performance
* Create, issue and manage purchase orders for direct materials
* Maintain accurate supplier and lead time data
* Review material demand and planned production requirements to ensure appropriate stock levels
* Support inventory optimization initiatives.
* Take a role in maintaining robust supplier relationships
* Support continuous improvements projects
You will have solid Buying experience focussing on direct materials and will be comfortable with a site based role (North Kent).
Must have current UK Right to work and be in commutable distance.
