A leading Mechanical Services contractor based in Epping are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to support continued growth. The company tenders for large-scale commercial projects with values up to £6.5 million, delivering high-quality mechanical solutions across a range of sectors.
The Role
As Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for major commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
•Preparing detailed mechanical estimates for commercial projects up to £6.5m.
•Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
•Producing cost plans, take-offs, and tender submissions.
•Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
•Identifying value engineering opportunities and commercial risks.
•Working closely with project managers and directors during handover.
About You:
•Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services sector.
•Strong background in commercial projects (office, education, healthcare, etc.)
•Excellent understanding of mechanical systems and specifications.
•Confident working on tenders in the £1m–£6.5m range.
•Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
