An opportunity has arisen for a part time Chef to be part of our experienced and committed catering team working at The Priory Hospital - Altrincham. There is some flexibility around the working hours for this role but hours will include some weekend working as part of the Chef rota. The role holder will be assist with the provision of the catering service at the hospital with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation, cooking and serving of meals.
Undertakes the planning, preparation and cooking of meals, taking account of any special requests or dietary requirements within the unit.
Ensuring operational standards are met with regards Assured Safe Catering policies and guidelines.
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
The role holder will be expected to hold a NVQ2 or equivalent in Catering together with a basic qualification in food hygiene and will have experience of working in a professional kitchen environment.
The role holder will work in a busy kitchen environment and have the ability to remain calm under pressure and be adaptive in their thinking.
