We are looking for a part-time Receptionist & Administrator to join our vibrant team at our Children’s Activity Centre, Condover Hall, located just on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Condover Hall is a Grade I listed Elizabethan sandstone building, known as the grandest manor house in Shropshire, situated in a conservation area on the outskirts of Condover village.

Our Administration team are the heart of our operation, handling guest welcomes, queries, and operational administration.

This is a seasonal part-time vacancy from now until 24th October 2025, with the option to return for the 2026 season.

The Details

* Up to £12.32 per hour
* Part-time position working 8 hours every Sunday
* Accommodation is not provided; own transport required due to location


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

* Manage the reception desk and greet guests
* Handle guest questions and issues via phone, email, and in person
* Provide exceptional customer service
* Answer calls and relay messages professionally
* Prepare guest arrival documents and distribute room keys
* Record guest information and communicate with other departments (e.g., dietary needs, meal numbers)
* Create gift shop and mealtime schedules for guests
* Allocate rooms based on availability and needs
* Organize and return lost property
* Maintain the reception notice board with current information
* Coordinate with on-site departments and the Brighton Office
* Conduct site tours for potential guests
* Perform additional administrative tasks as needed


Candidate Requirements

* Previous administrative and/or reception experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to work under pressure, organize, and prioritize
* Collaborative and independent working skills
* Approachable and friendly demeanor, as the first face guests see
