We are looking for a Workshop Manager to join our client’s busy automotive operation in Chipping Warden. This is a key leadership role, overseeing workshop activity and ensuring performance, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently met.
You will be responsible for managing a mixed team of workshop technicians, inspectors, and office-based support staff, driving performance within a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
1. Manage and lead a team of 12–14 staff, including technicians, inspectors, and administrative support.
2. Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
3. Monitor and drive performance against KPIs, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
4. Analyse operational data to identify trends, improve performance, and support decision-making.
5. Maintain strong communication across teams, ensuring smooth workflow and coordination.
6. Build and maintain positive relationships with both internal teams and external customers.
7. Ensure all work is completed in line with company processes and quality standards.
The Person:
8. Previous experience in an operational or workshop management role.
9. Proven track record of delivering and exceeding KPIs.
10. Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and act on performance data.
11. Strong Excel skills.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
13. Strong attention to detail with a logical and methodical approach.
14. Highly organised and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
