About the Role
As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist, you'll work within multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:
10. Conducting psychiatric assessments and reviews
11. Leading treatment planning and clinical decision-making
12. Supporting junior medical staff and MDTs
13. Liaising with community services and external partners
The Responsibilities of the post will include assessing new referrals from GPs, inpatient wards, transfers from Home Treatment teams and internal referrals. To provide assessment, making an appropriate diagnosis, formulating management plans in the short term and long term. You will be required to work at St Mary's lodge, In Leamington Spa. You will be supported by a medical secretary. You would be required to provide supervision to a middle grade Doctor as required.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
14. MBBS or equivalent medical degree
15. Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
16. Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility)
17. A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
18. Experience in adult mental health settings
19. UK Right to Work
20. A flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach
Desirable:
21. CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it)
