Service Support Worker

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire

Salary: £22,932 per annum

Hours: 35 per week

Contract: Fixed Term (until end of March 2026)

Driving Requirement: A full driving licence (held for a minimum of 2 years) is essential; access to a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory.

What will a day in the life of a Support Worker involve?

* Providing practical and emotional assistance to people in their own homes.
* Supporting service users with household tasks, meal preparation, and shopping.
* Encouraging and promoting independence, enabling individuals to maintain their hobbies and interests.
* Building positive relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
* Ensuring all care documentation is accurate and up to date.


What does it take to be a successful Support Worker?

* Previous experience in a similar care setting, preferably within healthcare or social care.
* Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals’ lives.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of person-centred care principles and a commitment to upholding dignity and autonomy.
* Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and bank holidays.
* A full UK driving licence (minimum 2 years experience) is essential; access to a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory.
