Trust Doctor (ST3+ equivalent) in Geriatric Medicine – Fixed Term 6-12 months at Whipps Cross Hospital and Ainslie Rehabilitation Unit
Overview
Our OPS (Older People's Services) team is growing, and we would like you to be a part of our fantastic workforce. We are advertising for a 6‑12 month fixed‑term and full‑time Trust registrar post within the department of Older People's Services. The role may include General Medicine on‑call, provided you possess the relevant experience and skills to work as a medical registrar on‑call.
Responsibilities
 * Develop individualised educational goals, including a focus within the specialty of your choice.
 * Develop and deliver clinical skills with high consultant supervision.
 * Gain audit, research, and teaching experience.
 * Work within a supportive culture where teams are rewarded for their contribution.
Qualifications
 * Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
 * Experience across a broad range of medical subspecialties.
 * At least MRCP Part 2 certification (full MRCP desirable). Candidates without MRCP need not apply.
Department
Whipps Cross Hospital provides services for a local population with high frailty and is being re‑developed as a centre of excellence for Geriatric Medicine. The department covers a broad spectrum of sub‑specialty areas including Frailty, Acute Geriatrics, Ortho‑Geriatrics, Surgical Liaison, Psychiatry Liaison, outpatients, Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment clinics and rehabilitation medicine.
