Shieldhall packages a huge volume of Scotch malt whiskies, white spirits and ready to drink brands to supply over 170 countries around the world and is a key manufacturing site within the Scotch supply category.As a Mechanical Engineer within our team at Shieldhall, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance, repair, problem-solving, and improvement of all mechanical assets to maximize their availability across the site. Key responsibilities: Engage with operations teams and maintenance personnel to deliver and review mandatory and requested maintenance with minimal production impact, ensuring the availability of spare parts for scheduled maintenance tasks.Utilize our Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP-PM) to raise, update, and record all maintenance tasks in accordance with a weekly asset care delivery planTo be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone who has strong interpersonal skills and can communicate at all levelsWe would love to talk to someone who canuse initiativeand push forward their own ideas whilst offering guidance and support for our current approaches.Key skills and experience: Relevant qualifications and have demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles Proven hands-on experience within a production environment and able to demonstrate understanding of asset performance and maintenance.Experience in data analysis, use of applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and business systems such as SAP Can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere.
