This is a critical vacancy, managing both engineering delivery and project liaison for one of the most prestigious contracts in the region. We’re looking for someone technically strong (ideally with an electrical bias) and highly capable when it comes to team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and driving performance in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. The Role – Two Key Focus Areas: 1. Engineering Operations & Compliance: * Support and work alongside the current Engineering Manager (due to retire – this role is their clear successor). * Oversee compliance, statutory maintenance, and service standards across a team of 20 site-based engineers. * Troubleshoot and resolve complex building services issues. 2. Project Liaison & Stakeholder Engagement: * Act as the bridge between contractors, subcontractors, and the client team (Barclays/Barclaycard). * Participate in major meetings and ensure delivery aligns with the site's operational and technical requirements. * Oversee coordination of £30 million in projects over the next 2 years. Candidate Profile: * Strong M&E background – electrical bias preferred. * Excellent leadership and communication skills. * Ability to manage complex technical operations on a live, mission-critical site. * Comfortable interfacing with senior stakeholders and contractors. * Confident, solutions-focused, and resilient.
