About the Role
As an E&I CAD Designer you will have a good working knowledge and experience of AutoCAD (or similar CAD packages, both 2D and 3D) and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Your role will be to support the Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering disciplines through the production of high quality, single line diagrams, loop diagrams, general arrangement drawings, hook-up drawings, cable routing drawings and similar. You should be enthusiastic and conscientious about the work you produce, leading by example with good attention to detail. You will also have the ability to learn quickly and work methodically under your own initiative, as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
* Support the Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering disciplines.
* Produce high quality single line diagrams, loop diagrams, general arrangement drawings, hook-up drawings, cable routing drawings, and similar.
* Assist in surveying client sites using conventional surveying means.
* Utilize a suite of Autodesk software including AutoCAD, Plant3D, Revit, Recap, and Navisworks.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within oil and gas related industries (not mandatory).
* Engineering background with recognised engineering qualifications, preferably with an electrical or control and instrumentation bias.
Required Skills
* Good working knowledge and experience of AutoCAD (or similar CAD packages, both 2D and 3D).
* Ability to learn quickly and work methodically under your own initiative.
* Attention to detail and conscientious work ethic.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in oil and gas related industries.
* Awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures relating to design and construction activities.
