Support Worker Opportunities in Linlithgow!

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of Older People? If you do, we would love to hear from you. Bield Housing and Care strongly believe that older people should be free to make their own choices and be able to live as independently as possible. If you share these values we’d love you to join our team.

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker at our Bield at Home service in Linlithgow. The role supports our values and would offer you the opportunity to work within an organisation that is committed to making a difference to the lives of older people.

Please note for this role, and for genuine occupational requirement reasons, we are looking to appoint a Female Care Assistant (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).

Hours: 25 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days on a shift rota basis.

What We Offer:

* A comprehensive training and induction programme
* An hourly rate of £12.81 - £13.20
* Your SSSC registration and PVG membership fees covered by Bield
* A rota that can be flexible to ensure that you have a good work life balance
* Occupational Sick Pay
* Excellent Annual Leave allowance with the option to buy and sell - Annual leave each year
* Company Pension Scheme
* Employee assistance programme

If you have a genuine interest in delivering the best possible care to older people please get in touch.

Whilst experience in working in a similar environment is desirable, we want to recruit people who share our values and want to make a difference to the lives of others. We have a comprehensive training programme that will support new colleagues with limited experience in care.

Most importantly, we want to hear from people who have a genuine interest in people and supporting them to lead their best life.

You must be able to achieve SSSC registration within regulatory timescales.

Bield is one of the largest providers of housing and support services to older people in Scotland. We value kindness above all and at Bield you will have a unique opportunity to make a positive impact.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) which means you must disclose all unspent and relevant spent convictions on your application.

Disability Confident

Bield is a proud disability confident accredited employer. As users of the disability symbol, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the vacancy minimum criteria.

In order to help you succeed, we will make all required reasonable adjustments to facilitate your inclusion during our recruitment and selection process. Adjustments will vary from person to person; if you wish to discuss how Bield can support you throughout the recruitment process, please email hr@bield.co.uk and a member of the team will get in touch.

The application page will open in a new window.
