Job Description
We are currently looking for a EMEA Compliance Manager to join our dynamic team in Zagreb, Croatia.
The Compliance Manager ensures organization functions are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Responsible for organization and implementation of compliance audits. Performs or manages daily compliance risk identification, inspection, and reporting. Develops and implements preventative measures and internal controls.
Responsibilities
* Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
* Develop and oversee data privacy controls to ensure compliance with GDPR and applicable data protection laws across the EMEA region, including breach reporting, data subject rights management, and prevention of violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
* Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
* Revise procedures, reports, etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non‑conformity issues
* Draft, modify and implement company policies
* Collaborate with corporate counsels and HR departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
* Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
* Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
* Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
* Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
Minimum Job Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business administration or related field
* 3+ years of experience as a compliance officer, manager, or related position
* Excellent leadership skills
* English minimum B2 level
Preferred Qualifications
* In‑depth knowledge of standards and regulations
* Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record‑keeping
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Certified compliance professionals is a plus
