Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
* Assist in the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations
* Monitor ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock levels are low
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of meal preparation
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
* Assist with meal plating and presentation to meet quality standards
* Support other kitchen staff as required, including cleaning duties and basic food prep tasks
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a busy restaurant setting
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
* Previous serving experience is advantageous but not essential
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
