JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control Supervisor specialising in concrete products to ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in concrete production, quality control methodologies, and leadership skills to effectively supervise our processes and procedures while maintaining a quality end product. This role is crucial in upholding our commitment to delivering durable and reliable concrete products to our customers. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The key duties and responsibilities of these positions include, but are not limited to: - Oversee all aspects of quality control within the concrete production process, from raw material inspection to final product testing. - Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Conduct regular inspections of concrete production facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards. - Collaborate with production supervisors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. - Maintain detailed records of quality control data, including test results, inspection reports, and production logs. - Monitor equipment performance and calibration to ensure accuracy and reliability of testing procedures. - Stay informed about advancements in concrete technology and quality control methodologies to continuously improve processes and standards. - Coordinate with external quality assurance agencies and participate in audits and certifications as required. - Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. - Conduct or assist with regulatory and quality training sessions. - Comply with the company’s policies & procedures and Health & Safety regulations. - Undertake additional duties as and when required. PERSON SPECIFICATION: - Have a strong knowledge of concrete production processes, materials properties, and testing methods. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Quality Management Systems. - Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills. - Strong organisational skills. - Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings, desirable. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. - Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
