Our client is a well-established manufacturer, delivering high-quality products across a range of sectors. They are seeking a detail-oriented Planning & Exports Coordinator to provide operational and administrative support across order processing, planning, export documentation, and interdepartmental coordination.
The Role
Reporting into the operations team, the Planning & Exports Coordinator ensures customer orders move smoothly through the business and shipments are prepared accurately and on time. You will act as a key point of contact between sales, production, purchasing, and despatch teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing customer orders accurately in the internal system and updating them as changes occur.
Supporting lead-time coordination with the sales team and communicating updates promptly.
Assisting in scheduling shipping dates, test-fit dates, and internal schedules, ensuring all dates are visible to relevant teams.
Preparing export documentation and managing administrative tasks for international shipments.
Handling small parcel shipments, including courier arrangements, tracking, and paperwork.
Maintaining clear communication across sales, production, purchasing, and other internal teams to prevent delays.
Tracking Work in Progress (WIP) and maintaining accurate records of all open orders.
Liaising with the despatch team to ensure timely shipment of parts and completed orders.
Obtaining freight and courier costings and providing information to sales and accounts.
Candidate Requirements
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or order-processing environments is preferred.
Familiarity with export/shipping paperwork is beneficial but not essential.
Confident communicator able to liaise with multiple departments.
Proficient with order-entry or ERP/MRP systems.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritise effectively and handle changing deadlines.
