Bristol – 3 days in the office

Salary: £50,000-£55,000
I’ve partnered with an Educational SaaS business in Bristol that is looking to add a PHP Developer to their growing team on a hybrid basis. The company has been operating for over 20 years and has built a market-leading research platform used across the Education sector by leading universities and business schools in the UK and globally. As the platform evolves, the business needs to expand the tech team. In this role you will play a key part in building new applications, product design, developing new UIs and driving the business forward from a technical perspective. The role leans more towards the backend with PHP, but there is some frontend work too. It’s a small, tight-knit team offering exposure, growth opportunities, day-to-day autonomy and the chance to work on a variety of projects.
The role is based in Bristol and requires office working 3 days a week. No sponsorship can be offered and candidates need to be local.
Responsibilities
* Build new features and applications using PHP and related technologies.
* Collaborate with product and design teams to shape product design and UI/UX improvements.
* Develop and maintain frontend components using JavaScript, HTML, CSS & React as needed.
* Work with relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server) on a daily basis.
* Engage with different technical environments (platform, UI, applications).
* Mentoring or leading teams in the future as opportunities arise.
Technical Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years PHP development experience.
* Confidence with frontend technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS & React.
* Experience working with databases daily (MySQL, SQL Server).
* Other skills: Postgres, Git, Laravel.
* Strong collaboration with multiple teams.
