I am currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join my client’s growing business covering the Colchester, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Bournemouth, Bristol, and Reading areas.
The successful Field Service Engineer will travel to customer sites to carry out service, maintenance, and installations on a range of mobile processing equipment. Please note, although the role is Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm, flexibility is required to ensure work is completed to high standards. You will also be required to work away from home when needed, but on average, no more than twice per month. Once trained, you will join the call-out rota, currently 2 weeks every 10 weeks, with additional payments and expenses covered during call-outs.
Field Service Engineer Requirements:
1. Must hold a minimum Electrical or Mechanical Level 3 Qualification.
2. Proven background as a hands-on engineer, working on a range of mechanical and electrical equipment.
3. PLC fault-finding experience is beneficial.
4. Experience with 3-phase systems and 18th edition wiring regulations is beneficial.
5. Willingness to learn and develop skills.
6. Ability to work away from home when required (on average no more than twice per month).
7. Availability to join the call-out rota (2 weeks every 10 weeks).
8. IT literacy.
9. Hold a full and clean UK driving license.
