About the Setting
My client is a well-established manufacturer operating within a fast-paced production environment. They are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support continuous improvement initiatives, optimise manufacturing processes, and help deliver high-quality products to customers.
The Role
* Design, implement and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
* Analyse production data to identify trends, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement
* Lead projects focused on process optimisation, automation, and product development
* Support maintenance and performance of manufacturing equipment
* Work closely with Production, Quality, Design and Procurement teams to improve operational performance
* Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality, safety and industry standards
Requirements
Essential
* Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
* Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production equipment
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
* Proficiency with CAD software
* Experience working with injection moulding processes and equipment
Desirable
* Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification
* Experience with automation and robotics
* Knowledge of ERP and manufacturing software systems
* Understanding of materials science and engineering principles
