Job Description Product Cost manager Full time Derby What you will be doing: We have an exciting opportunity an enthusiastic, self-motivated leader to join the Trent 1000/7000 Value Stream team as a Product Cost manager. With over 600 aircraft in service and a growing orderbook of aircraft, the Trent 1000/7000 Value Stream covers the full breadth of activity of those engines in service and provides a unique opportunity to develop business breadth across the lifecycle of an engine. Reporting to the Senior Vice President - Contract Management, you will be the Trent 1000/7000 Value Stream lead for all activity related to the delivery of product cost commitments. Successful management of Product Cost is critical to ensure strategic initiatives and committed business returns are delivered. You will interface with the Civil Manufacturing Operations and Procurement teams establishing relationships and growing your network across the enterprise. Ensuring Product Cost for both Trent 1000 & Trent 7000 engines are optimised to deliver margin growth on new engine deliveries and aftermarket part sales. Responsibilities: In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for defining the Product Cost strategy for the Trent 1000/ 7000 engines, including benchmarking to ensure best in class, as well as: Deliver Value Stream engine margin improvement for the strategic workstream covering both Revenue and Cost levers. Own Product cost inputs to all major business processes and reviews including Business Plan, Contract Review Packs and Product Introduction and Lifecycle Management (PILM). Partner with the Manufacturing Operations and Procurement teams to identify, influence and drive major cost strategies and initiatives to deliver committed targets. Ensure robust and integrated governance and reporting framework exists to drive engagement and execution of commitments. Drive a cost focused culture in product management processes to ensure cost informed decision-making and understanding of financial implications of business activities. Why Rolls-Royce?
