Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and focused individual to join the GI Services Division. The Administration Team Leader will apply expert knowledge of patient pathway and administrative procedures to provide supervision and leadership in the delivery of high quality, effective and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, with a focus on delivering a positive patient experience and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide liaison with colleagues across the Trust from all disciplines and support excellent clinical service to the patients.
* Manage the surgical pathways, ensuring delivery on a range of targets including theatre utilisation, RTT compliance and waiting list management.
* Serve as the patient point of contact for the full pathway from referral to treatment, streamlining the pathway for patients in the service.
* Apply the Trust’s Patient Access Policy, the 18‑week RTT National Standards and the national Cancer rules.
* Collaborate with multifaceted teams to achieve a streamlined pathway and positive patient experience.
* Operate from 250 Euston Road and work in a hybrid model (on site and at home).
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience working within a busy NHS team with a patient‑centred approach.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal with stressful situations and anxious or distressed patients using tact, diplomacy and empathy.
* Knowledge of 18‑week pathways and previous admissions or pathway coordination experience would be advantageous.
* Team player with drive and energy to improve the patient experience.
