We are seeking a Planner to join a civil engineering team projects based in North Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project programmes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of civil engineering works. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to provide accurate scheduling, progress reporting, and risk management. The Planner will support project teams by identifying potential delays, analysing critical paths, and recommending mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Frequent site visits will be necessary to gather up-to-date information and maintain strong communication with on-site personnel. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual looking to contribute to complex earthworks civil engineering projects in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update project schedules aligned with project scope and resources.
Monitor project progress and provide regular reports and forecasts to stakeholders.
Identify risks and opportunities within the programme and support mitigation planning.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure integrated planning.
Conduct site visits to collect accurate progress data and maintain communication with site personnel.
Ensure planning activities comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Support the preparation of tender and bid programmes as required.

Skills
Proven experience in civil engineering project planning, preferably in earthworks.
Strong knowledge of construction methods and sequencing in civil engineering.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project or equivalent planning software.
Ability to analyse and interpret project data to produce clear, accurate reports.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in programme development and monitoring.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Willingness and ability to undertake frequent site visits.
Risk identification and mitigation planning expertise.

Microsoft Project
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Certifications & Standards
Relevant planning or engineering qualification (desirable)
Health and Safety awareness for site visits
