I’m hiring on behalf of a Tier 1 Construction Consultancy — trusted by global clients to deliver high-impact, technically complex projects across the built environment.
We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially astute Associate Cost Manager to join their high-performing UK team. What You’ll Be Doing
As an Associate Cost Manager, you’ll take the lead in delivering accurate, value-driven cost management services on major construction projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Driving project performance through robust cost planning, estimation, and commercial reporting
* Leading final account negotiations, handling variations and claims with clarity and integrity
* Overseeing valuations and payment processes, supporting effective project controls
* Collaborating with clients and contractors to solve complex cost and delivery challenges
* Mentoring junior team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and excellence
* Building strong client relationships to drive repeat business and long-term partnership
What We’re Looking For
This is a great fit for a Cost Manager ready to take a step up—or an Associate ready for new challenges within a Tier 1 consultancy. You’ll bring:
* Proven experience delivering pre- and post-contract cost management on large-scale construction projects
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
* MRICS (or actively working towards chartership)
* Strong communication and leadership skills, with a client-first mindset
* A proactive, solutions-focused attitude and the ability to manage complexity with confidence
