About the role
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused professional to join our Sales Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing group reservations, and providing exceptional support to our business-to-business and group customers across our routes. You’ll play a key part in ensuring a seamless end-to-end customer experience, collaborating with internal teams, and identifying opportunities to maximise revenue through upselling and cross-selling. This role requires you to work 24 hours per week (within 3 days), across Monday to Friday.
Please note - fluency in both Dutch and English is essential for this role.
You will be responsible for
Handling group reservations, enquiries, and back-office tasks such as allocation adjustments, manifest entries, payments, and booking finalisation.
Delivering excellent customer service while proactively identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Collaborating closely with colleagues in sales operations, business sales, finance, product, and revenue management to achieve agreed targets and KPIs.
Maintaining in-depth knowledge of our product portfolio, vessels, systems, and digital processes to provide accurate information and support to customers.
Building and nurturing strong relationships with customers, agents, and internal stakeholders, acting as a true ambassador of the DFDS brand.
About you
You are a proactive and customer-focused professional with a strong sales mindset and a structured approach to work. A natural team player, you thrive in a global, cross-functional environment and bring excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills to the table. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, you enjoy building relationships and finding opportunities to add value. Agile, flexible, and self-motivated, you prefer to act rather than react, taking initiative to drive results. Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential, and while experience in the travel industry is preferred, it is not a requirement for success in this role.
