Dalkia Engineering - Operations Manager
We are a leading provider of M&E engineering solutions across the UK, delivering complex projects within healthcare, nuclear, defence, government, leisure, industrial and infrastructure sectors. As part of our continued Southern expansion into the South West region, this role will play a key part in strengthening our presence and supporting operational excellence, under the guidance of our Regional Managing Director, Colin Brunton.
We are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee project delivery, drive performance, and support the successful growth of the region.
What you’ll do
* Oversee day‑to‑day operational delivery across multiple M&E projects, ensuring safety, quality and commercial performance.
* Support project teams with planning, resourcing, sequencing and problem‑solving to maintain programme and client satisfaction.
* Work closely with Project Managers to ensure engineering standards, compliance and company processes are consistently applied.
* Monitor project progress, risks and opportunities, escalating issues and driving solutions where required.
* Support forecasting, reporting and operational planning to align delivery with regional targets.
* Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* Contribute to regional governance, attending operational reviews and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
* Champion Health & Safety, ensuring high standards and compliance across all operational activities.
* Support talent development, mentoring and succession planning within project teams.
What you’ll bring
* Strong operational experience within the M&E, construction or building services sector.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
* Strong understanding of project delivery, engineering standards and commercial awareness.
* Confident communicator able to engage effectively with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
* Ability to identify risks, solve problems and drive performance improvements.
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and project‑related systems.
