Job Description
To provide breast imaging for both Breast Screening and Symptomatic Breast Services at the hospital base and on mobile screening units at various locations throughout the Northern Trust.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining a high standard of personal work whilst acting as a member of a team.
* Perform mammographic examinations for the Breast Screening and the Symptomatic Breast Service as directed.
* Work according to local and national guidelines for Mammography and Quality Assurance.
* Assist with assessment techniques and quality control procedures.
* Demonstrate an ability to manage own departmental workload in terms of time, resources and demands of the Service, making appropriate decisions when necessary and adapting a flexible approach to work so that urgent cases can be facilitated as necessary. This may mean working through break times or staying late at the end of a duty period.
* Provide cover for additional clinics, in line with the Terms and Conditions of Agenda for Change (AFC), in the department when there is a clinical need. This may include extended hours in the evenings or at weekends
Qualifications/Experience
* BSc in Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers, London (or Equivalent )
* Must hold or be willing to train for the Post Graduate Cert./Award in Mammography
* Current State Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Diagnostic Radiographer
* Hold a current full driving licence and have access to a car

* Various hours and shift pattern available
* £19.10 - £30.55
