Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse/Driver to join our team. This role involves both warehouse duties and driving responsibilities, ensuring efficient operations in the handling, storage, and distribution of materials. Duties
* Load and unload materials from vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
* Engage in materials handling tasks, including picking and packing orders accurately.
* Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts to transport goods within the warehouse.
* Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Maintain stock levels by organising inventory within the warehouse and updating records using a Warehouse Management System.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
* Build pallets for shipment, ensuring that items are securely packaged for transport.
* Utilise mechanical knowledge to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience in warehouse operations or a similar role is preferred.
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques and heavy lifting practices is essential.
* Must be based within local distance
* Experience with picking, packing, stock management, and shipping/receiving processes is advantageous.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment operation and maintenance.
* A valid driving licence is required for driving responsibilities associated with the role.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are necessary for maintaining accurate inventory records.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
