As an apprentice, you’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering impactful projects with a strong focus on safety, security, and sustainability. Whether working on major nuclear schemes, frameworks, or standalone projects, our emphasis is on responsible engineering and continuous innovation, making a tangible difference for clients, communities, and the environment.
You will be exposed to:
* Administration of contracts
* Producing construction forecasts for the works
* Producing applications for payment
* Maintaining accurate records of works undertaken
* Establishing quantities from construction drawings
* Using quality management and assurance systems to manage, monitor, and contribute to civil engineering projects
* Communicating effectively with project teams and stakeholders
* Working independently and as part of a team, taking responsibility for your work
* Ensuring compliance with equality, diversity & inclusion (EDI) and ethical standards
Alongside daily work, you'll attend college on block release at the Nottingham campus, with accommodation and travel provided, to develop your technical knowledge and skills.
About the Role
A Quantity Surveyor is the financial linchpin of construction and infrastructure projects. You'll learn to cost projects accurately from conception to completion, ensuring all legal and quality standards are met.
As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you'll support financial control, reporting, and commercial performance management of projects from award to final account.

Applicants must meet the following academic criteria:
Essential:
* A Levels – BBB; or
* BTEC Extended Diploma – DDM; or
* 120 UCAS Tariff points from three A-levels or equivalent
* GCSEs – English and Maths grade C / 4
Desirable:
* Understanding of engineering and construction principles
* Commercial awareness
* Proficiency with technology and surveying software
* Project management skills
