Study Supervisor

About the Role
Are you a motivated, organised, and resilient individual looking to make a real difference in an educational environment? We are seeking a Study Supervisor to join a dedicated team in Horsham.
In this pivotal role, you will ensure that student learning continues seamlessly when a teacher is absent. You won't just be "minding the class"-you will be facilitating progress, managing a positive classroom environment, and supporting the Inclusion Department to ensure every student, regardless of their background or ability, has the chance to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Classroom Supervision & Delivery
* Deliver lesson resources and activities effectively to ensure students remain on task and make progress.
* Communicate clear instructions and "Independent Learning" tasks set by absent teachers.
* Use a variety of resources (books, equipment, and digital tools) to promote active learning.
* Maintain high standards of classroom management, organisation, and health and safety.
2. Inclusion & Student Support
* Provide supervision in Internal Exclusion, upholding policy while encouraging a productive work ethic.
* Work closely with the Inclusion Team to support students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
* Act as a mentor for KS4 students who are potential underachievers, helping them reach their academic goals.
3. Behaviour & Communication
* Manage after-school sanctions and maintain accurate records of student achievement and behaviour via BROMCOM.
* Act as a point of contact for parents/carers regarding student successes or areas for improvement.
* Facilitate a uniform approach to work delivery using the internal network (M Drive).
4. Team & School Support
* Accompany and supervise students on educational off-site visits, ensuring all safety requirements are met.
* Collaborate with the Study Supervisor team and assist in the induction of new staff.
* Support the Inclusion team with classroom tasks when cover requirements are light.

* Organisation: Proficient ICT skills (experience with BROMCOM or similar MIS is a plus) and excellent record-keeping abilities.
