Finance Assistant
Bideford | Monday-Friday | 9am-5.30pm | Full-time | 6-month Fixed-Term Contract
Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Finance Assistant based in Bideford to support day-to-day finance activities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in finance, excellent IT skills, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Duties
* Process weekly and monthly payment runs, ensuring accurate recording of deductions.
* Support the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, including relevant schedules and reconciliations.
* Process and record refunds accurately.
* Collaborate with internal departments to support finance tasks and systems training.
* Assist with year-end audit preparation by compiling and checking required information.
Requirements
* Experience working in a busy finance or management accounts department.
* Excellent IT skills, including accounting packages and advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
* Adaptable and quick to learn, particularly in technical areas.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a diplomatic approach.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative.
* Customer-focused with a positive and proactive attitude.
* Experience with a range of finance tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations.
