Our Team
Our Sustainability team specializes in helping client organizations measure, manage, and reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions, and achieve wider sustainability goals. Our services include, but are not limited to:
* Delivery of city/regional carbon reduction programs;
* Development of carbon management strategies, including Net Zero strategies;
* Carbon footprint and greenhouse gas reporting, and ESG disclosures;
* Identification and assessment of energy-saving opportunities and investment support;
* Green building certification assurance on real estate projects;
* Estates decarbonization and heat decarbonization plans;
* Net Zero program management and delivery.
Our specialist Cities & Workplaces team is growing in response to rising demand from private and public sector organizations. We seek individuals with experience and knowledge in building certification and/or real estate decarbonization to strengthen our resources.
Job Description
We seek individuals capable of demonstrating expertise in Heat Network (HN) and broader Distributed Energy (DE) projects or programs.
By Distributed Energy, we refer to flexible, resilient, and low to zero carbon heat and power networks and systems, including but not limited to heat networks, solar PV, heat pumps, energy storage, demand-side flexibility, smart and vehicle-to-grid charging for electric vehicles.
Experience in project development (scoping, business case, finance, high-level technical consulting) for schemes involving heat networks, local energy networks, smart grids, battery storage, and integrating with home EV charging or car battery storage is required.
Qualifications
We are looking for experienced professionals with expertise in HN and DE across various projects. The following competencies are expected:
* High-quality service delivery and client management
* Consultancy experience in DE and HN projects
* Successful track record in facilitating and delivering DE schemes, meeting project KPIs
* Ability to overcome barriers in DE through various project stages: feasibility, commercialization, procurement, delivery
* Knowledge of DE solutions covering multiple technologies
* Excellent customer relationship skills
* Understanding of metering, billing regulations, and government policies on HN
* Programme management and organizational skills
* Knowledge of energy demands in buildings and relevant regulations such as CP1 and Building Regulations Part L
Preferred skills include business development, stakeholder engagement, energy strategy development, and DE data analysis.
