Position: Ocean Export Operator
Location: Chelmsford
Hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 (1-2 days 12:00-8pm)
Salary: Up to £34,000
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the exportation of Less than Container Loads (LCL) and Full Container Loads (FCL) shipments via sea freight. You must have a background in sea freight operations with a UK forwarder, with experience dealing with US shipments.
Your key responsibilities as Ocean Export Operator:
Complete start-to-finish export consignments via sea freight
Responsible for the day to day running of allocated LCL movements
Exports between UK and USA
Create bookings from the origin
Provide freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers
Track and update shipment statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
Complete customs procedures
Ensure compliance with export regulations
Developing good working relationships with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and our other branches
Previous experience in quoting and operations of export ocean freight forwarding is essentialRequirements:
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with a UK-based freight forwarder
Have the ability to work 12:00-8pm, 1-2 days per week for US time zone scope
