Reeson Education is working closely with a warm and inclusive primary school in Balham (SW12) who are looking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to support children across Year 1 and Year 2, providing interventions, small group work, and 1:1 support.
The Role:
* Working closely with class teachers to support KS1 pupils with their learning
* Leading literacy and numeracy interventions with small groups of children
* Providing 1:1 support for pupils who may need additional help
* Assisting with classroom organisation, behaviour support, and daily routines
* Helping create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
* Ideal experience for those considering a PGCE, Schools Direct, or teacher training
About You:
* A recent graduate (ideally in Education, Psychology, English, Maths or related field)
* Passionate about working with children and supporting their progress
* Confident, reliable and enthusiastic with a proactive mindset
* Some experience working with children (in schools, tutoring, volunteering, etc.) is desirable
* A team player who is eager to learn and grow within a school setting
* Must have an enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one
