About the Role
Are you an experienced product development engineer with a strong background in manufacturing? This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the technical department for a market-leading manufacturer based in Co. Antrim, focusing on driving innovation, product development, and process improvements.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee the development of new products and enhancements to existing ranges.
2. Lead process and manufacturing improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
3. Conduct feasibility studies for new projects and equipment acquisitions.
4. Ensure compliance with industry standards, building regulations, and certifications.
5. Collaborate across departments to implement lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction strategies.
6. Manage technical documentation related to product design and manufacturing.
7. Stay updated on industry advancements to keep the company competitive.
Requirements
* Proven experience in product design and manufacturing processes.
* Strong knowledge of plastics processing, thermal simulations, and structural calculations.
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams in new product development.
* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD 2D, SolidWorks 3D) and industry-specific design tools.
* Familiarity with building regulations, testing, and certification processes.
* Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
