Role: Mechanical Technician
Location: Newcastle (12 Month FTC)
Hours: Monday-Friday (40 Hours per week)
Hourly rate: £20 Per Hour
GPS are looking for experienced Mechanical technicians to work for a leading subsea engineering business in Newcastle for 12 months. Successful candidates will be responsible for the assembly of a range of Mechanical/Hydraulic Equipment.
Key responsibilities:
* Work to allocated tasks in line with the Production MPS.
* Possess an understanding of the requirements for the correct assembly of large steel fabrications and associated ancillary equipment including hydraulic equipment i.e. cylinders and operating systems.
* Correctly assemble work from a parts list and drawings.
Skills/Experience Required:
· Previous experience in a similar role is essential
· HNC or equivalent experience.
· Previous experience of operating in a heavy engineering assembly environment safely and effectively
