Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Admin Officer to join the Ophthalmology admin team at Frimley Park Hospital.
Accuracy and attention to detail are a must. Applicants should enjoy working in a busy environment and you will need to be organised, enthusiastic and dedicated with excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
The role is ideally suited to candidates with administrative experience with a positive approach to change. If you enjoy a complex and varied workload this could be the post for you.
Main Duties of the Job
* Provide an administrative service to the Department.
* Work closely with the Clinical Admin Leads and patient Pathway Coordinator to set daily priorities and targets.
* Plan and organise own work schedule, demonstrating good time management and promptly report anticipated difficulties in meeting deadlines.
* Obtain and organise information in support of own work activities, maintaining confidentiality in accordance with organisation procedures.
* Answer queries in a timely and professional manner.
* Ensure that secure systems are in place for the storage of all resources including computerised information.
* Assist with booking appointments.
* Ensure all phone calls are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
* Operate the various EPIC and other IT systems to fulfil the role/department requirements.

Qualifications (Essential)
* NVQ Level 3 Administration or equivalent practical knowledge.
* Good education to GCSE standard or equivalent experience.

* Competent with current software programmes (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work in a busy environment and remain calm under pressure.
* Experience of working within a team environment.
