Reporting to the Senior Commercial Relationship Manager, the Commercial Relationship Manager will be responsible for negotiating sustainable funding levels with key commissioners alongside Managing Directors and Finance Business Partners. They will work in conjunction with the Sustainable Funding team towards an annual target of c.£30m+. This person will have experience in commercial finance, specifically income/fee negotiations. Must be a completer finisher, have a clear logical thought process and be confident liaising at senior levels both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for leading commercial discussions with key customers.
* Being a first point of contact at Voyage Care will be ‘customer facing’.
* Working closely with Managing Directors and regional Finance Business Partners to support them in achieving their regional fee targets and ensure sustainability of services nationally.
* Provide leadership within the Sustainable funding team for in depth negotiations.
* Active role in meetings and negotiations with key customers.
* Fortnightly Exec meetings (CEO, CFO, CCO, COO and Group MD) to drive fee strategies and share learnings.
* Support the Director of Commissioning & Commercial Partnerships in implementing projects to maximise funding streams available, reviewing opportunities for possible grants or new funding streams.
* Contribute towards monthly board reporting.
* Liaising across other teams within the business to ensure accurate and rounded information used in fee negotiations.
* Assist Director of Commissioning & Commercial Partnerships to drive continual improvement within the Sustainable Funding function.
* To support the Sustainable Funding Team on any other ad hoc projects or work as required (full training to be given)
* To provide analysis and insight as required on packages of care, services and/or funders as well as interpret and provide recommendations.
* To mentor, coach and train Senior Commercial Analysts and Analysts within the region and wider team to ensure they follow all processes and procedures, and to support them to provide strong analysis and recommendations.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications required
* Commercial finance experience including income/fee negotiations.
* Ability to prioritise and manage own workloads, be flexible in your working style and able to work to tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing including credibility to translate financial information to non-financial senior managers
* Possess a problem solving, analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail
* Ability to work with and model using large datasets / Advanced Excel
* Management experience
* Desirable social care or healthcare background and/or public procurement experience
