Social Worker | Contextual Safeguarding | Preston & West Lancashire | Full time
We are currently seeking a Social Worker to join our Contextual Safeguarding Team, based in Preston & West Lancashire, on a full time, permanent basis (with 1 permanent post and 1 fixed term contract).
Salary £36,363 - £40,778 Per annum
Employment type 1 permanent post, and 1 fixed term contract | Full Time, 37 hours per week

Responsibilities
* Work as a Contextual Safeguarding Social Worker with young people aged 13 to 18 who are experiencing exploitation and/or harm outside the home.
* Utilise a Contextual Safeguarding approach to understand and respond to young people’s experiences of significant harm beyond their families.
* Build trusted relationships with young people and collaborate with families within a multi-agency team to assess risk and support needs and formulate plans.
* Apply trauma-informed practice, therapeutic interventions, and direct work as part of ongoing learning and development provided by the Social Work Academy.
* Contribute to reducing caseloads and enhancing service delivery via national funding opportunities and expanded multidisciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications and requirements
* Be registered with Social Work England to be appointed as a Social Worker.
* Experience or strong interest in adolescent work, contextual safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice.
* Ability to work within a multi-agency team and adopt relationship-based, strengths-based approaches.
* Own a car for business use (we may consider reasonable adjustments for disability).
* Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
