Role: Electrical Estimating Manager

With a very healthy order book for the coming 12 months, they are now recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Estimating Manager to join their team.
Job Summary:
As the successful candidate, you will be reporting directly into the Pre-Contracts Director, collaborating and identifying prospective tender opportunities dealing with both existing and new clients. You will be working on a range of projects and play a key role in ensuring the consistent growth of the company. Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role with a strong background in electrical estimating, project management, and team leadership. As the Electrical Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the estimating process and leading your team to ensure accurate and timely bids for projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire estimating process, from reviewing bid documents to submitting final proposals
Lead and manage a team of Electrical Estimators, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials
Prepare accurate and competitive bids for a variety of projects, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, industrial etc.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely project delivery
Monitor and track project costs and budgets to ensure profitability
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to improve estimating processes
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector
Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods
Experience in project management and team leadership
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to read and interpret specifications, and technical drawings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred
