Transport Team Manager Location: Birmingham, B6 Salary: £41,000 per year Hours: 40 per week, Monday- Friday (Rotating Shifts) 5:00am - 1:45pm 9:00am - 5:45pm 11:00am - 7:45pm The Opportunity Are you an experienced transport professional looking for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a Transport Team Manager to lead a fast-paced transport office. With 20 direct reports in a team of 65, this is your chance to make a real impact in a busy, dynamic logistics environment. What You'll Be Doing Leading, motivating, and developing a team of 15-20 transport colleagues. Driving performance against KPIs while keeping costs under control. Ensuring the smooth running of daily transport plans and schedules. Maintaining fleet compliance, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners. Creating a positive, safe, and high-performing work environment. Championing continuous improvement and finding smarter ways of working. What We're Looking For Proven management experience within transport, logistics, or FMCG. Strong people leadership skills - able to inspire, coach, and hold teams accountable. Solid understanding of fleet compliance, transport laws, and Health & Safety. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused. Flexible to cover different shift patterns. Essential Qualifications CPC in Road Haulage Transport Management (International). Proficient in MS Office Suite. IOSH Managing Safely (desirable). Why Apply? Competitive salary of £41,000 per year.
