Overview
An exciting opportunity to join a team of highly professional administrators in Barrow is now available. You will be part of the Enabler Services Directorate delivering a high standard of business support to cover several workstreams including Front of House, Planning, Trading Standards, Legal and Democratic, and varied aspects of general business support to other council service areas.
Responsibilities
* Provide top level business support and excellent customer service to internal and external customers, suppliers and other agencies.
* Support multiple workstreams within the Enabler Services Directorate (Front of House, Planning, Trading Standards, Legal and Democratic) and assist with general business support across council service areas.
* Maintain high standards of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills in day‑to‑day office activities.
* Communicate effectively and present a confident, professional image to teams, managers and colleagues.
* Work independently in a busy environment with strong organisational skills and initiative.
* Demonstrate attention to detail and strong interpersonal and communication skills; be a team player with a can‑do attitude.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Experience of working in an office environment as an administrator.
* Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
* High level organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative.
This is a full‑time office‑based role.
