Job summary
An opportunity has arisen at the Northern Contraception, Sexual Health & HIV Service to join our friendly team at the Hathersage Centre in Manchester. The post holders will be become experienced nursing associates in sexual health and contraception.
The post holders will be able to or developed to undertake duties of seeing patients independently within an integrated sexual and reproductive health service. To participate in clinical duties in line with their banding, experience and competence.
The candidate will need to be qualified as a nursing associate for 6 months
previous applicants need not apply.
Main duties of the job
To perform symptomatic and asymptomatic screening, venepuncture and vaccination as a nursing associate within the integrated sexual health team, providing appropriate prescribed treatment and advise to those with an infection.
To provide sexual health advice to patients as appropriate, working with our health advisors.
To counsel patients requesting long acting reversible contraception and supporting them to make informed choices regarding their sexual and reproductive health.
To undertake all clinical duties in line with the role of a nursing associate within the service
