Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Personal Assistants to provide support to a twelve-year-old boy with additional needs within his own home and to access the local community.
Responsibilities
* Provide support with personal care, including getting ready for / changing after school, toileting and showering.
* Support the person’s independence by assisting with feeding, daily personal hygiene and supervision and safety when accessing the local community.
* Assist with social activities including going swimming, trampolining or to the park or completing arts and craft activities.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Caring, proactive and motivated with a passion for supporting others.
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A driver with a full license and access to your own vehicle; mileage will be provided.
Hours and Pay
The position is up to 26 hours per week term time and up to 34 hours out of term time, with an hourly rate of £12–£15 depending on experience and 5.6 weeks' paid annual leave. Hours can be flexible to the applicant; however, support will be required in the hours before and after school during term time.
