We are a charitable housing association supporting individuals and families across the South West and South of England. We are a major provider of a diverse range of housing, support and learning services for socially excluded people.
We have a continuing mission to meet housing need and end homelessness. We aim to achieve this through the building and provision of affordable and secure homes, and by supporting individuals to take control and lead independent, fulfilled lives.
Whether we are developing sites or supporting people with housing or learning, we believe in equality, the importance of every individual and the right to be valued and treated with dignity and respect. Our doors are open to everyone.
We manage over 1300 properties and support thousands of individuals each year.
Are you ready to lead with purpose and inspire a team that’s making a real difference?
BCHA is seeking a passionate, forward-thinking Area Housing Manager to join our Housing Services Team. This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver high-quality housing management across a diverse and meaningful portfolio — including general needs, supported housing, and intensive management accommodation.
As Sarah, our Head of Housing, puts it:
“We’re bringing the housing team closer to customers: to be more present, more proactive, and better able to build meaningful relationships that support people’s housing and wider well-being.”
We’re looking for an experienced, people-centred leader who:
* Brings a strong track record in housing management, including tenancy, income, allocations, voids, and estate services
* Can motivate, mentor, and develop a high-performing team through coaching and supportive leadership
* Works collaboratively with customers and partners to deliver genuinely person-centred services
* Thrives in a dynamic environment and embraces innovation to drive improvement
* Approaches challenges with resilience, empathy, and a solution-focused mindset
* Champions regulatory compliance, value for money, and the pursuit of service excellence
If you’re driven by positive outcomes, committed to inclusion, and ready to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Join us and help build stronger futures — one home, one customer, and one community at a time.
