Responsibilities
* Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon, Cucumber, etc.
* Design and create test data and test environments.
* Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead, identifying errors and validating successes for any software solution.
* Identify, understand, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications.
* Do a deep-dive and present test results to clients and project teams clearly.
* Work flexibly with the ability to adapt to the current working environment.
* Develop and maintain automated testing solutions for IT systems and applications, using in-depth knowledge of test automation tools.
* Integrate testing automation into overall delivery automation, aligning with Agile, DevOps, and Containers trends.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional team members to implement test automation best practices.
* Log, track and report defects using issue‑tracking tools, ensuring clear communication with developers.
* Re‑test software after bug fixes to verify successful resolution and ensure no regression.
* Ensure the software meets quality standards and functional requirements before release.
* Work in IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers).
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
* Strong Java and DevOps infrastructure experience.
* Experience writing test automation scripts.
* Experience with automation builds for testing IT systems and applications.
* High proficiency in multiple test automation tools and technologies.
* Ability to design optimized test scenarios, develop automation for test execution, and manage test data and environment automation.
* Understanding of Agile, DevOps, Containers, and the ability to integrate automation into delivery.
* Experience performing end‑to‑end testing, UAT testing, and business testing.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to log, track and report defects using issue‑tracking tools.
* Valid right to work in the UK; must be a UK resident with continuous residency for at least 10 years and be able to obtain UK government security clearance.
