What's involved with this role: Role: Senior Category Manager Job Ref: QAD 1761/2904 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate Hours per week: 37 hours per week Contract Length: Anticipated 18 months Location: Reading, West Berkshire – 2 days per week onsite We are seeking a Senior Category manager to develop and implement Category Strategies balancing short and long-term objectives. The Senior Category Manager, with the sub-category Team, are responsible for securing and tracking cost reduction, contract management and continuity of Supply Chain Key Accountabilities: Develop and implement Category Strategies for assigned sub-group of categories Support and execute complex strategic sourcing activities in line with approved category strategies and preferred suppliers list Contractual and commercial management and effective contract administration to the relevant team providing commercial assurance to deliver commercial value. Support and execute Supplier Relationship Management for key and critical suppliers within the sub-group of categories Identify and develop supplier value including planning and participating to external management review meetings Key Requirements: Experience of working as a Senior Category Manager in public sector procurement Professional service experience Outsourcing environment large programmes Successfully delivered large programmes.
