Previous furniture delivery experience can be a benefit, but we find personality and the ability to learn new skills more important.
What does the role involve?
1. Delivering and installing furniture in customers' homes
2. Working through a delivery schedule with the support of your teammate
3. Working as part of a wider distribution centre team in helping to load and unload furniture onto our vehicles
4. Providing a brilliant service to our customers and encouraging their feedback
5. Ensuring safety by carrying out checks and driving safely
6. Working 44 hours over 4 days with every Sunday off. Flexibility may be required during peak periods
7. Heavy lifting
Who are we looking for?
1. Previous experience within a driving role
2. Class 1 vehicle licence
3. Driver digital tachograph card
4. Relevant drivers CPC qualification (certificate of professional competence)
5. Knowledge of safety requirements of operating a vehicle and familiarity with tachograph regulation
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to follow processes and procedures
8. Strives for high customer satisfaction
9. Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling due to heavy lifting
10. Hardworking
11. Team player
12. Experience in a warehouse environment (desirable)
